Not too advertised, but the shows in this little modern theater (especially the tiny 7-row Black Box downstairs theater) are excellent! Comfortable seats in the recently built theaters, unlike all the old seats in many Boston theaters. Easy to get to in Watertown (just past Arsenal Mall), easy parking. Panera Bread & Casa de Pedro are just next door for pre or post theater food selection.

At first, as Kathy Tompkins leads a visitor through the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown, she merely notes the sights in a quiet voice: five levels of gallery space, two theaters, a string of art studios and classrooms, and actors rehearsing for New Repertory Theatre's next production "Exits and Entrances." But as the tour passes under an art installation that looks like mammoth, beautiful fungi hanging from a two-story-high ceiling, her timbre rises. She stops and turns. And then something akin to a mother's pride flashes across her face. (Full review)
